When products are made for you, you may not realize how their design can be discriminatory toward people of color. 

The thing about privilege is that you usually only notice it when you don't have it. Right-handed people use scissors without thinking twice; it never occurs to them that it could be a problem. Because seatbelts were designed for the male anatomy, women are more likely than men to sustain serious injuries in a car accident while wearing them. When things are made specifically for you, you don't even notice. You can't imagine that other people aren't going through the same thing you are.
